Junior Badminton – Rileigh Reynoldson (Girls Singles) and Aydon Burks (Boys Singles) traveled to Wynyard for Districts on May 2nd.  Unfortunately, Aydon was not able to advance to the semi-finals as his pool was very tough; however, he played some of his best badminton all season.  Great Job Aydon!  Rileigh finished 2nd in her pool which advanced her to the semi-finals.  She then faced the 1st place girl in the other pool and was able to pull out the win.  She then had a 5 minute break before heading into the final.  Rileigh was able to win 2 straight sets to win Districts!  Congratulations on capturing gold Rileigh!

Junior Badminton – Our Junior Badminton team hosted league play on Thursday, April 19, with Rileigh Reynoldson playing Girls Singles, Aydon Burks & Jacob Zehr playing Boys Singles and Alexis Gottselig & Samantha Maerz in Girls Doubles.  It was a good experience for the kids and they did very well.  Pre-districts for Boys & Girls Singles is on Thursday, April 26th in Humboldt & Girls Doubles is Friday, April 27th in Humboldt.  If any of our team members finish in the top two at Pre-Districts, they will advance to Districts being held in Wynyard on May 3rd for Boys & Girls Singles & on May 4th for Girls Doubles in Foam Lake.  Best of luck – look for results in our next newsletter.
