It was another great year of Track and Field with our athletes. We participated in a chilly and wet Pre-Districts in Strasbourg on May 21. Our students had a great day with 5 of our athletes advancing on to districts in Saskatoon. It was a warmer day at Districts in Saskatoon on May 28. The athletes that moved on to Districts were:
Scott - Senior Boys 200m
Hailee - Junior Girls 100m, 200m, 400m and Long Jump
Lilly - Bantam Girls 800 m

Our students all represented our school well at Districts! Lilly and Keira placed 5th & 6th in the 800m, Keira placed 7th in Long Jump and 8th in Javelin, Scott placed 11th in the 200m. Hailee took the event placing 1st in all four of her events while also breaking the District records in each of her events. Hailee ran the 100m in 12.39s with the previous record being 12.91s, she ran the 200m in 25.55s with the previous record being 26.71s, she ran the 400m in 57.92s with the previous record being 1:01.04, and she jumped 5.09m to take the district long jump record over the previous record of 4.97m. With Hailee’s amazing performance she qualified in all her events to compete at Provincial Track & Field in Saskatoon on June 7th and 8th. Congratulations Hailee! Good luck at Provincials!
